Welcome to the empty nose syndrome (ENS) patient support website. 

This site was founded by ENS sufferers in 2005, and it is a leading source of information about ENS on the Internet.  The primary goals of this site include serving as a center of information while promoting the pressing need for a cure. Although the ENS Association is a federal, non-profit organization, this site (and organization) functions more as a powerhouse of information than a large organization.  ENS, we believe, is one of the most misunderstood, devastating, iatrogenic problems in American medicine today.  As a leading Internet source, our site enjoys more than 300 unique visitors per day and over 300 forum members.  We encourage all ENS sufferers to register on the patient list to provide us with current, relevant data. We hope this site helps to shed light on this silent, preventable problem.  Among other features, this site includes: 

1)      Extensive tutorials on the nose, turbinates, and respiratory system.

2)      A forum where ENS' leading medical authority Dr. Steven Houser of Cleveland, Ohio , answers patient questions and ENS sufferers support each other and discuss treatments.

3)      Revealing testimonials.  

4)      A half-hour audiotape by Dr. Eugene Kern, who coined the term “empty nose syndrome.”
